Supplier Relationship Management Certification

Earn the certification that sets the standard for supplier relationship management (SRM) expertise.

SRM is increasingly at the forefront of critical business competency. However, it is often misunderstood and applied inconsistently as a discipline.

We were first to introduce a certification program and to define the SRM ‘body of knowledge’.

Our members continue to benefit from our experience and research in this field, helping them develop the skills for strong communication, careful strategy, innovation, and collaboration.

The SRM Certification Program combines structured learning and assessment and focuses on how to achieve healthy relationships that deliver high value through both individual and team skills.

Ways to learn

What is blended learning?

If Enterprise members choose the blended learning delivery option, your group will complete the self-paced online program alongside virtual facilitated workshops with fellow learners and experienced instructors (guest academics and practitioners).

This option provides you with a structure to plan your completion of the self-paced online program. It is also an opportunity to connect and exchange ideas in real-time with fellow learners and gain valuable insights from the experts to apply the insights in your job role.

How it works

Pre-assessment

This is a compulsory step before starting any certification program to determine the correct program level.  Your pre-assessment must be validated by an independent and qualified reviewer familiar with your work.

Practitioner and advanced levels

At the practitioner level, you must complete all applicable courses and course tests as well as participate in facilitated threads before taking the final exam. Advanced practitioner candidates must have received Practitioner status. The Advanced level program is delivered in partnership with State of Flux and requires the completion of 8 interactive modules, offered in a live classroom or virtual setting.

Your program remains open for 12 months, though most candidates complete within 6 months.

Expert level

Expert candidates must have achieved Advanced Practitioner status. Expert candidates are required to apply their skills and learning to achieve improvement in their selected supplier relationship, which will be assessed by an expert SRM panel to ensure it meets the required standard. The judging panel has final decision authority on the award of Expert Certification.
